Parked in Sulzano in the upper part, many tourists arrive to take the ferry. At Monte Isola we made the complete tour on foot on a paved road (10km, no cars) then we went up the mule track to the Madonna della Ceriola Sanctuary in about an hour (packed lunch). The island is beautiful.

Il lago d'Idro è balneabile, tranquillo, una valida alternativa per fuggire da luoghi affollati. L'attrazione principale è data dalla Rocca d'Anfo, fortezza del 1400 ricca di storia, ingegnosamente rafforzata per volere di Napoleone. L'ingresso è gratuito solo per un breve percorso, altrimenti si esplora solo con visita guidata. Passeggiate pedonali verso Anfo, davanti ai numerosi campeggi, e a Crone. L'intero giro del lago è possibile ma impegnativo per i dislivelli da affrontare.

Simpatica passeggiata lungo lago da Bardolino a Punta San Vigilio passando per Garda (in tutto 7km a piedi). Paesi caratteristici e molto turistici. Prima di raggiungere la Punta San Vigilio la passeggiata si riduce a sentiero sassoso con ultima parte a rischio di bagnarsi i piedi all'arrivo delle onde. Si raggiunge così un antico edificio con gradevolissimo ristorante all'aperto.

Cariadeghe plateau - Mt. Ucia map

Simple and at the same time interesting excursion on the Cariadeghe plateau in Serle, where the karst phenomenon is present. Park in front of the Alpini refuge and take the mule track to Monte Ucia, which can be reached in an hour and a half. Circular tour, always in the middle of the woods, including the summit. An undemanding but not very scenic walk.

Vezza d'Oglio: Val Grande  map

From Vezza d'Oglio reach by car the locality of Tu (1207m)  where the asphalt road ends, if  to continue you need to have a paid permit (10 euros) but  the mule track is very narrow. There are many paths in the Stelvio National Park. To stay in Val Grande, follow the signs for the Locanda of the same name and finally for the Saverio Occhi bivouac (2047m). You can observe the deer and in September and October hear their roars typical of the mating period. Easy and pleasant route.

Circular route: partenza on foot from Ship (250m)  at the end of via Monteclana where ithe path 435 that it follows la Val Listrrea, narrow valley between waterfalls and waterways with little difference in altitude. At a certain point you take the path  436, more impervious and wild with equipped sections that are not difficult (a family of wild boars spotted moving away).  You reach the asphalt road that goes down to Lumezzane di Val Trompia, but take path 3V 381 on the right which leads to the Sanctuary of Santa Maria in Conche (12th century hermitage). Very nice place. You descend from the other side with an easier path but, in general, a long and demanding excursion.

The path starts from Crone in via Coste. Equipped with bridges and ladders, quite steep, a little attention is needed but easy and fun. Too bad we found the Neco torrent completely dry. You can continue to the summit of Mount Croce di Perlè (1031m - two hours in all) for the beautiful view of Lake Idro. In town, pizza at the Marylin restaurant with lake view is recommended. Also to be proposed is the 3.6 km long tour of the lake on foot

Lake Moro is a small lake in Val Camonica that can be reached by car from both Darfo Boario Terme and Angolo Terme. The walking tour lasts 50 minutes with ups and downs, you will find a park and various refreshments including the Duse restaurant (excellent location and excellent menu). This excursion can be combined with a walk on Lake Iseo (20 km from the Moro lagoon) on a cycle / pedestrian path between the villages of Tolino and Vello, 4.5 km long, closed to traffic and at lake level.

Antica Strada Valeriana - Pilzone - Lake Iseo  map

The path called Antica Strada Valeriana starts from Pilzone and runs along the east side of Lake Iseo with gentle ups and downs. Some sections, however, are on an asphalted road. In Maspiano there is the detour to the giant bench: you go up quickly reaching the height of the Sanctuary of Monte Isola visible in front of the lake.  Spectacular panorama. The duration of this journey was almost two hours. Had lunch in Sulzano and returned to the lakeside road (faster but without sidewalk)

Limone is one of the most popular tourist resorts on Lake Garda. There you can savor the atmosphere of a lively and well-preserved ancient village, famous for  

the cultivation of citrus fruits, especially lemons. The walk beyond the lakefront, the paths and the arcades provides after three kilometers towards Riva del Garda a spectacular cycle and pedestrian path of 2.5km, built overlooking the lake. To have a panoramic point from the top, go up along the  Path of the sun.

The historic center of Sirmione located between the Scaligero castle and the Grottoes of Catullus is very picturesque, but the walk extends along the entire thin peninsula located south of Lake Garda between Desenzano and Peschiera.

Franciacorta - Ome map

Franciacorta extends between Brescia and the southern area of Lake Iseo and is famous for its vineyards. In Ome you can walk the Antica Strada Valeriana, the Path of mushrooms or stop at the Botanical Garden of the Conifers which can be reached with a half-hour walk from Ome:  plants from all over the world represent 7 families of Conifers, very pleasant. The Path of Mushrooms, halfway up the hill, from a panoramic point of view, is disappointing.

Toscolano Maderno - Valley of the Paper Mills  map

Leave your car at the Piazzale Roma car park  before Toscolano Maderno from which the Proch Path begins, almost a staircase that climbs to Montemaderno. Follow the signs indicating the "Way of Sant'Ercolano" path and then for the hamlets of Vigole, Sanico and finally, through various paths,  reach the valley of the paper mills where there are the remains of buildings from 1850 and a museum. From here along the road, with tunnels, you return to Toscolano.

Departure on foot at the bottom of Val Paghera from the "Alla Cascata" refuge (the excellent bruschetta). A little further on there is a paid parking (1496m). Climb up the steep and stony path for almost an hour and a half to get to Lake Aviolo in whose waters the surrounding mountains are beautifully reflected. If you want, you can continue on path 1 to reach the Galinera Pass (2320 m). Great variety of flowers. It deserves.

Inzino valley map

Departure on foot from Gardone Valtrompia hamlet Inzino at the end of via A. Volta.  It is a walk along the Re stream, full of waterfalls and corners equipped with picnic tables. You cross the stream often, beware of slippery stones. The path climbs to Monte Guglielmo but after two hours of walking we had a packed lunch and we are  returned. The part of the canyon is very pleasant.

Monte Guglielmo - Punta Caravina map

Starting from Pisogne, get in the car to the Passabocche car park: the road is narrow and winding. First stop at the Medelet refuge (long wait for a cappuccino) then climb to the Punta Caravina peak (1847m) with a beautiful view of Lake Iseo (and black clouds on the other side). Fantastic flowers along the path to the summit.

Sanctuary of Santa Maria del Giogo map

Park the car at the beginning of via Santa Maria a  Gardone Valtrompia and continue on the mule track still in the woods. You reach the Sanctuary with a two-hour walk. The path is 311 and you arrive at an altitude of 968m with a difference in altitude of 600m. The view is over Lake Iseo, Val Trompia and Val Sebino.

The lakeside promenade of Iseo is very beautiful. To be associated with a walk in a priority area for biodiversity in the Lombard Po Valley. Unfortunately, during our visit we did not see any animals apart from two swans, a small turtle and a very distant bird.

Salò - Sanctuary of the Madonna del Rio map

We start from Renzano, even if we parked in Salò walking along a boring stretch of the state road. The path to the Sanctuary is short but you can continue on a circular path that reaches two other sanctuaries. between vineyards and farmhouses. The lakeside promenade in Salò is nice.

The Pyramids of Zones map

Going up from Marone, on Lake Iseo, park in Cislano, where the rock has formed the park of the pyramids: you need to walk along a circular path lasting 90 minutes to see unexpected natural monuments, made up of moraine deposit material protected by the erosion from a "cap" of more massive material.
To complete the day you can cross the town to go up the Croce di Zone pass on a mule track, and return via another path along a circular route. However, signs and directions are unclear.

M.te Guglielmo - Almici Refuge (1861m) map

Park in Zone where there are road signs for the Path of the Gnomes: along the Val Vandul, next to the mule track you can admire 45 carved statues, created by the artist Luigi Zatti, representing imaginary characters that populate the woods. At the Almici refuge the view over Lake Iseo is wonderful. If you want, you can reach the summit of Mount Guglielmo in 20 minutes.
