You reach Alpe del Vicerè (903m) from the turn indicated in Albavilla near Erba. Here you will find a large parking lot, picnic areas, playgrounds and restaurants. The route is a loop: beyond the adventure park there is the mule track that arrives at the coast near the Capanna Mara refuge where the view opens onto Lake Como and then climbs to the top with an increasingly vast panorama. It deserves. Another road (but more monotonous) returns to the parking lot.

Val Bova - Caino ravine  map

Park near the Il Glicine restaurant in via Minoretti, in the Crevenna di Erba area. Quiet walk along the Bova river. After an hour on foot you reach a waterfall by proceeding along the river bed if little water flows. Here there are very steep ladders if you want to continue the journey. On the way back, we recommend the lower route, along the dry river that reaches Ponte di Legno and then rejoins the initial mule track.

Monte Bisbino (1390m) map

You can start on foot from Cernobbio, from Rovenna or reach the summit by car along the asphalted but narrow and winding road. We have chosen to park halfway in the locality of Madrona beyond which path 1 is found and in an hour and a half you will reach the summit: here there is a Sanctuary, a restaurant and, if open, a Museum of local history. Great vantage point. We got off on path 1 towards via dei Monti Lariani until we reach the Bugone refuge (excellent lunch). With the  indications of the managers we returned to Madrona.

Canzo - Terz'Alpe Alp (792m) map

The Terz'Alpe mountain pasture is located at the bottom of the Ravella valley, along the climb to the Corni di Canzo. It is a small pasture with a rural complex and a farmhouse. The path is very popular so you can leave your car in Fonte Gajum, where the mule track starts only if you arrive early. At the level of the Prim'Alpe refuge, as an alternative to the mule track, you can take the Sentiero degli Spiriti, wilder and characterized by the presence of sculptures on trunks and wooden houses to entertain children. Wide choice of well-signposted paths continue through the valley and the Corni.

Green way - Lake Como map

The route starts from Colonno and arrives in Griante. Very nice. Car park along via Cappella on the left before entering the town.  Two hours of walking along narrow streets, mule tracks, lakeside walks and some crossing on the Regina road. The arrows marked Greenway are indispensable among the various ups and downs. Many views to photograph.  For a lunch full of fish we recommend the Riviera restaurant in Griante.

Torno - Lake Como map

From the village of Torno (a few parking spaces before the tunnel before the village) go up into the woods on a mule track to the Montepiatto locality. Then continue to Piazzaga, Baita Mirella and then go down towards the lake. Here we find the Massi Avelli, that is, burial tombs dug out of erratic granite boulders. The small town is characteristic and friendly.

Monte San Primo (1682m) map

Departure from Piano Rancio, from the large parking lot in front of the adventure camp. You go up pointing towards Alpe Borgo. In the last part you can continue along the dirt road but the path on the ridge is more scenic and lively. On the way back we went down the very steep path that leads to the Martina refuge, famous for its polenta-based menus (highly recommended).

Monte Generoso (1704m) map

Reach Lanzo d'Intelvi. Departure from Alpe Grande where you can park. Go up to Alpe Orimento and take the "high" path, challenging but panoramic, to go back down to the "low" path, which is gentler through pastures. At the top you can admire the entire lake of Lugano and you can stop for lunch in the modern Fiore di Pietra restaurant which can be reached by train from the Swiss side. Nice outing.
